Julia Hart was inducted into Slippery Rock High School’s National Honor Society in the fall. Each student is responsible for a community project. Julia, a member of St. Christopher at the Lake Roman Catholic Church in Prospect, contacted the church’s Ladies Guild for assistance. The guild made a monetary donation and requested other members of the church assist Julia with expenses. Julia collected enough money to make 19 tie blankets. Other society members who helped Julia make the blankets were Ellie Reiser, Kayla Daugherty and Ashlee Wherthey. She donated the blankets to the Colonial Gardens Guest House in Butler.
