ZELIENOPLE — Connoquenessing Valley Elementary School is hosting a blood drive from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday at the school, located at 300 S. Pittsburgh St,

Walk-ins are welcome. However, appointments are recommended.

[naviga:h3]Kindergarten registration set[/naviga:h3]

JACKSON TWP — Seneca Valley has set kindergarten registration times for the 2019-20 school year.

This half-day program provides transportation one-way and welcomes children who are age 5 on or before Sept. 1 of the enrollment year. Registration locations, dates and contact numbers are:

- Evans City Elementary, March 4 to 6. Call 724-538-3680;

- Haine Elementary, March 12 to 15. Call 724-776-1581;

- Rowan Elementary, March 12 to 14. Call 724-776-1518 and

- Connoquenessing Valley Elementary, March 25 to 28. Call 724-452-8280.

To register a child during the times noted above, contact the building the child will attend to set up an appointment.

[naviga:h3]Genealogy Club sets 2 meetings[/naviga:h3]

CRANBERRY TWP — The Cranberry Genealogy Club will kick off 2019 with two upcoming meetings.

At 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, a genealogy roundtable will be in the Cranberry Township Municipal Center council chambers. Attendees are asked to share stories of their own genealogy.

At 6:30 p.m. Feb. 27, a look at what’s new in 2019 with FamilySearch will be in the Cranberry Public Library’s Franklin Station Room. Attendees will learn how to access FamilySearch at the library as well as the Cranberry Family History Center.

Ryan Henrie, history center director, will use demonstration and case studies to illustrate how to access various collections on FamilySearch, new features for displaying ancestry and ways to explore and search FamilySearch.org.

Meetings are free and open to the public.
