Markina, MacDonald
Julia “Yuliia” Markina and James “Jamie” MacDonald IV of Jersey City, N.J., were united in marriage Oct. 19, 2018, in Miami Beach, Fla. Frank Nunez officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Konstantin Markin and Galina Markina of Crimea. Parents of the bridegroom are James and Rose MacDonald of West Sunbury.
The honor attendant was Quinn Fenwick of New York City. Bridesmaids included Kerri Hensler of New York City, Elena Grusha of Seattle and Elena Kovalenko of Crimea.
Performing the duties of best man was Chad MacDonald of Butler. Ushers included Joseph Princener of Pittsburgh, Derrek Hensler of New York City, RJ Lozano of Pittsburgh and Ryan Peffer of Boston.
The bride and groom did the choreography and performed a wedding dance to “Summer of Love” by U2.
The bride is a 2008 graduate of High School #31 in Simferopol and a 2013 graduate of Lomonosov Moscow State University.
She is employed by the international law firm of WilmerHale in New York City.
The bridegroom graduated from Moniteau High School in 1999 and the University of Pittsburgh in 2003. He is vice president of Megaphone TV in New York City.
The couple is making their home in Jersey City, N.J.
