Victoria Beck, Jacob Geil, Ben Hess and Rishin Sharma were chosen as semifinalists — among 1,894 others nationwide — in the Coca-Cola Scholars Program.

They were selected based on their leadership, academic achievements and dedication to community service that was illustrated in their initial applications.

They will continue through the selection process with an opportunity to receive a $20,000 scholarship.

The class of 2019 scholars marks the 31st consecutive year that the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation has awarded scholarships.

The foundation is one of the largest corporate-sponsored, achievement-based scholarship programs of its kind in the United States. The foundation was created in 1986 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the brand. To learn more about the scholarship program, visit www.coca-colascholars.org.
