JACKSON TWP — Seneca Valley junior and baritone saxophone instrumentalist Sean Scott was selected to perform in the National Association for Music Education All-National Honors Band in Orlando, Fla.
The performance took place Wednesday at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort under the direction of Dennis Glocke from Penn State University.
The NAfME All-National ensembles represent the top performing high school musicians in the United States. To participate, students must have been a member of their own All-State ensemble the previous school year. In addition, students had to prepare a predetermined audition selection and submit a recording.
Scott participates in the Seneca Valley Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble I and Marching Band. He participated in Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) Honors Band, District Band, Region Band and All-State Band during the 2017-18 school year.
