‘Rekindle’ event planned for Dec. 8 at St. Andrew

This year’s “Gather the Logs — Rekindle the Fire” event will be from 8 a.m. to noon Dec. 8 at St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, 1660 N. Main St. Extension.

The theme will be Your Mother’s Hands. Dennis E. Johnston, Deacon John Ragan and the Rev. Terry O’Connor are scheduled to speak.

There is no charge, but a free will offering will be taken to help defray expenses.

PENN TWP — Nixon United Methodist Church, 334 Airport Road, will have “Breakfast with Santa” from 8 a.m. to noon Dec. 8.

Eat a pancake and sausage breakfast with Santa and have a free picture with the jolly old elf taken.

PENN TWP — Nixon United Methodist Church, 334 Airport Road, will have its 20th annual drive-through Live Nativity with multiple scenes and live animals and actors from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 15 and Dec. 16.
