BUTLER TWP — A teenager was treated Wednesday night at a Pittsburgh hospital for an accidentally self-inflicted gunshot wound to the leg in the township, police said.

The 18-year-old man, who authorities did not identify, was treated at Allegheny General Hospital and released. The incident happened about 9:35 p.m. at his home in the township’s Highfield section.

Butler Township police said the investigation continues but they declined to provide any other information.
