Staff changes set Children's Center

Elsia Brady

Butler County Children's Center has appointed a new chief executive officer.

The center's board announced Wednesday that Elisa Brady will become CEO effective Nov. 26.

Brady is the former CEO of Seton Hill Child Services in Greensburg and has “extensive experience in children's programs and family and community service,” the center said in a news release. She also serves on the board of directors of PA Head Start Association.

The center's interim CEO, BethAnn Glew, has been promoted to executive director of early learning programs, after being hired last year as the center's health/nutrition/disabilities director.

Glew formerly served as the special education supervisor of early intervention for Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV, and has a “broad background in staff training and development and consultation,” the center said in a release. The staff changes come after former CEO Steven Green took a position as president and CEO of Glade Run Lutheran Services in Zelienople, in early July. The center has been providing children's programs since 1973 and is the grantee agency for Butler County Head Start and the Early Learning Resource Center for Butler, Beaver, Lawrence, Armstrong and Indiana counties. Its board is composed of parents and community leaders.
