State police remind hunters taking to the woods that parking on limited access highways is against the law.

These roads include the Pennsylvania Turnpike, Interstate 79 and 80, and Routes 28 and parts of Route 422.

Parking on the berms or in the grass next to the roadway is not permitted, police said recently. Violators face fines plus court costs for this violation,

Hunters are also reminded that parking on private property without the permission of the property owner also is prohibited.
