Butler drug raid nets 4th person for possession

A fourth person is accused of felony drug possession stemming from an August warrant search of a Butler apartment where county narcotics officers say they found crack cocaine, hundreds of dollars and eight cell phones.

The Butler County Drug Task Force Wednesday obtained an arrest warrant for Ricardo D. Bryant, 64, of Butler.

He is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and conspiracy.

Bryant was at the apartment on the 300 block of South Main Street Aug. 27 when officers served the search warrant following a three-week investigation into suspected drug dealing there, investigators said.

Task force officers that night arrested the tenants — Corey A. Dooley, 37, and his girlfriend, Teri L. Mulneix, 39 — and Shakor D. Wilder, 23, of Pittsburgh, who were also at the apartment.

Dooley, Mulneix and Wilder all face similar charges as Bryant in the investigation.

Wilder, who is also charged in an unrelated felony drug case, remains in the Butler County Prison on $200,000 bail. Dooley and Mulneix are both free on their own recognizance.

County Detective Tim Fennell, who heads the task force, said officers seized a “small amount” of crack, a digital scale, drug-packaging materials, $447 in currency and the cell phones during the search.

Dooley and Mulneix told investigators, according to court documents, that Wilder “would bring narcotics to the residence to be sold.”

The tenants, documents noted, “would occasionally meet people for Wilder to deliver the narcotics that Wilder would provide them.”

Wilder at the time of his arrest was free on $35,000 bail in connection with the unrelated case.

Butler police in that case arrested him and another man following a March 24 traffic stop during which officers say they seized six bags of crack.

Wilder's prior bail was revoked after his Aug. 29 arrest. Both of his cases are pending in Butler County court.

Preliminary hearings for Dooley and Mulneix are set for Oct. 15.
