BUTLER CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE

Pastor Millie Martsolf will sing Sunday at the Butler Church of the Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road and Route 68.

CHRIST COMMUNITY UNITED METHODIST

The Lay Ministry school of Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church.

The youth group meets at 6 p.m. Sunday.

The church council meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Bible study is at 7 p.m. Wednesday,

Book study is at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 27 in Room 105/106 downstairs.

Registration forms are available in the church office for Super Sprout Preschool.

FAITH UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Pastor Tom Clyde will lead Sunday worship at Faith United Presbyterian Church, 1329 N. Main St. Ext.

Clyde and his wife, Betty, will be on vacation during the week.

The AA Group will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Weight Watchers will meet at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Wednesday, 10 a.m. Sept. 27 and 8:30 a.m. Sept. 29.

FIRST BAPTIST

First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., will have ladies’ Bible study at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Dittmer home.

The Bereans will have a social at 5 p.m. Friday at the Baptist Youth Center, 221 W. New Castle St.

The Sunday services at First Baptist begin with 9:45 a.m. Sunday school followed by Leon Duell, missionary to Alaska, speaking at the 11 a.m. worship service, noon lunch and 1 p.m. worship service.

The Deaf Café will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the youth center. Take a lunch. There will be fellowship, a devotional and a guest speaker.

FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN

First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., participates in the Butler Fall Festival Saturday by offering a craft for kids in the festival kids zone in the parking lot next to the church.

The adult Sunday school class will move to a 9 a.m. start time to be followed by a 10 a.m. Sunday worship service.

GRACE @ CALVARY LUTHERAN

Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., will open Grace’s Closet, Grace’s free clothing bank, from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. No proof of income is required. Each family may fill one large bag.

HILL UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Interim pastor the Rev. William Jackson will preach at the 10:30 a.m. Sunday worship service at Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St.

A time of fellowship will follow worship.

The handbell choir rehearses at 11:45 a.m. Sunday.

The vocal choir rehearses weekly at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Reservations for the Fifth Sunday luncheon are due Sunday.

INTERSECTION CHURCH

The Locking Arms Men’s Ministry of Intersection Church, 120 Walker Ave., meets from 6:45 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Kings Restaurant, 191 New Castle Road.

NEW ZION

New Zion Evangelical Congregational Church, 1195 Airport Road, Emlenton, has its annual parking lot picnic at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

An “escape room” will be the featured activity. Food will include ingredients for hot dogs, mountain pies, and s’mores, as well as side dishes.

RIDER LUTHERAN CHURCH

Rider Lutheran Church, 189 Rider Church Road, West Sunbury, will have a 175th anniversary celebration from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at the church. The public is invited.

SAINT ANDREWS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St., has its fall indoor yard sale Oct. 12-13. Take gently used items to the church by Oct. 1 so organizers have time to sort and price donations. If unable to deliver items to the church or for more information, call Anzie Kelley.

ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN

St. John’s Lutheran Church of Connoquenessing, 100 Main St., will have retired Pastor Karl Schoch leading the 11 a.m.

Sunday worship service, replacing Pastor Gary Brown, who will be at Emmanuel Lutheran of Prospect, to help celebrate its 175th anniversary, along with ELCA Synod Bishop Kurt Kusseraw.

The Cause of the Month, is VOICe, Victim Outreach Intervention Center.

ST. LUKE'S LUTHERAN

The bell choir of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St., Saxonburg, begins at 5 p.m. Thursday. The praise team follows at 6 p.m., and the generations choir has moved to 7 p.m.

The sanctuary will be open from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday for community quiet time and prayer.

A study on effective prayer meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Koinonia Café.

The women’s group meets at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Fellowship Hall.

TRINITY LUTHERAN

Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Center Township, will have “Stop the Bleed” training at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Tuesday. The classes are open to the public. For more information, call the church office at 724-287-1977.

The health and wellness committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
