Future POS earns vendor honor 11th time in 12 years

Future POS President John Giles and his wife and company Vice President Kelly Giles accept the award.

For the eleventh time in 12 years, a Center Township-based, point-of-sale software developer has been recognized for excellence by the Retail Solutions Providers Association.

Future POS, the developer of Future POS Software, was awarded a Vendor of Excellence Award by the association. The company, which was acquired last year by Shift4 Payments, was founded in 1998 by John Giles and his wife, Kelly. Both serve on the association’s awards and scholarship committee.

Future POS is celebrating its 20th anniversary and serves more than 18,000 restaurants worldwide. According to the company, an independent market share survey of the hospitality industry places the company in the top five of all point-of-sale software solutions firms.

Future POS employs more than 60 software engineers, technical support, sales and marketing and installation and service staff.

Giles, who announced the award in a news release Monday, said Future POS was performing well after its acquisition by Shift4 Payments.

“We have the best and brightest software developers in the industry bringing solutions to market that our competitors could only dream about,” Giles said. “Our state of the art technology combined with the backing of an industry powerhouse like Shift4 Payments is going to lead to amazing growth over the next several years.”
