A Butler man was sentenced to the county Intermediate Punishment Program Wednesday, after being charged with selling heroin to a woman who later overdosed but was revived.
Austin G. Harmon, 22, was sentenced to 30 months in the program, with the first 4 months spent on Restrictive Intermediate Punishment in Butler County Prison.
That will be followed by 6 months house arrest with electronic monitoring, with the remaining balance served on probation.
Police said it was found out that the woman who overdosed bought three stamp bags of heroin for $40 from Harmon at Fairview and Apple avenues in Butler previously.
