ADA fired after no-show at admin hearing

Goldinger declined to discuss the reasoning behind the suspension and termination of former ADA Richard Bosco.

Following an administrative hearing Tuesday, a Butler County assistant district attorney was fired from his position.

District Attorney Richard Goldinger reported that Assistant District Attorney Richard Bosco was formally removed from his position after being placed on suspension Friday.

An administrative hearing was scheduled for Tuesday, the purpose of which is to give public employees a chance to address grievances before termination or employment discipline. Goldinger said Bosco did not appear for the hearing and “thus effective immediately, he is no longer employed by the County of Butler.”

Goldinger declined to discuss the reasoning behind the suspension and termination, saying, “it is my policy to not comment on disciplinary matters within my office.”

“I will have no comment on the reasons for this personnel action,” Goldinger said, however, did say that it was a “totality of circumstance.”

Bosco had worked in the district attorney's office since 2009.
