Grove City's Homza on national title team
LAMONI, Iowa — Michael Homza of Grove City was a junior point guard on this year’s Graceland University men’s basketball team that won the NAIA Division 1 national championship.
Graceland became the first team from Iowa to win the crown in the event’s 81-year history. The Yellowjackets’ 83-80 overtime win over Louisiana State University-Alexandria in the finals marked its 11th straight victory.
Graceland (29-10) won 19 of its last 21 games.
