Knappenberger flips perfect game

Knoch girls blank Derry; Moniteau's Patton sets record

Celia Knappenberger tossed a five-inning perfect game Tuesday as Knoch shut out Derry, 11-0, in softball action at Laura Doerr Park.

Knappenberger contributed three singles and three RBI offensively for the Knights (2-0). Amanda Fischer had two triples and a single.

Erin Luffy and Abby Black both had a double and single in the win.

Track and Field

Jake Patton ran a time of 15.04 in the 110-meter hurdles to set the school record as the Moniteau boys bested Union, 120-29.

Patton eclipsed the mark of 15.21 set by Vance Farren in 2005.

Patton also won the 200 and the 300-meter hurdles for the Warriors.

On the girls side, Cambrie Campbell paced Moniteau with wins in the shot put, discus and javelin in the Warriors' 131-19 win.
