Butler streak snapped at 10
Butler's streak is over.
The Golden Tornado wrestling team dropped the fifth-place section match Wednesday night at Shaler, 46-34, ending their streak of WPIAL team tournament appearances at 10 years.
“It's disappointing,” Butler coach Scott Stoner said. “This was a match I felt we could come down here and win.
“But Shaler just took it to us. They were more physical, more aggressive than we were. It was pretty evident to see that.”
The Tornado (3-4) did receive pins from Clayton Dressler at 106 pounds, Jack Codispot at 152, Justin Stewart at 160 and Christian Sequete at 195.
