A-C Valley girls at 10-3

Falcons topple Cranberry, 48-38

Sparked by 23 points from senior forward Ellie Thompson, A-C Valley earned a 48-38 girls basketball victory at Cranberry Tuesday night.

Kylee Eaton added 14 points for the Falcons (10-3). Malliah Schreck paced the Berries with 13 points.

Sidney Shemanski added 12 points and Jenna Manke 10 for Freeport (8-5, 5-1), which extended its winning streak to five games.

Slippery Rock 55, General McLane 47 — Maryann Ackerman scored 14 points as the Rockets won this huge road region game over the Lancers (9-2, 3-2).

Hallie Raabe added 13 points and Anna Kadlubek 10 for Slippery Rock (7-3, 3-1), which has a showdown Wednesday at home against Grove City.
