Marcus Might scored 16 points and added 12 rebounds as the Seneca Valley boys basketball team overcame a sluggish start for a 53-29 victory Saturday over Montour.
The Raiders trailed 18-17 at the half, but rolled in the final two quarters, outscoring Montour, 36-11.
David Ritchie added 14 points for Seneca Valley.
Mercer 53, Moniteau 22 — Ross Tenney scored 14 points to pace the Warriors.
Moniteau trailed 21-7 at the half.
Freshman Anna Kadlubek scored 12 points as Slippery Rock used a big third quarter for a 44-39 win over Laurel.Kadlubek also had four steals for the Rockets, who trailed by three at the half, but outscored Laurel 17-6 in the third quarter.Emma McDermott added nine points for Slippery Rock (3-1).Grove City 38, Fairview 33 — Abby Biddle scored 16 points and the Eagles defense blanked Fairview in the third quarter on the way to this victory.The two teams entered the half tied at 16-16, but Grove City outscored Fairview 11-0 in the third and held on.Becca Santom added seven points for the Eagles.
