Probation visit sends two women to jail

Elizabeth A. Riggle

Two women are jailed on charges stemming from a probation visit at a Butler apartment where dozens of bags of suspected heroin, syringes and other contraband were seized, city police said.

District Judge William Fullerton on Thursday arraigned Elizabeth A. Riggle, 47, of Butler on felony and misdemeanor drug possession charges.

Miranda K. Suhan, 26, of Winfield Township was arraigned on a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

The women were arrested Nov. 3 during a home visit by Butler County probation officers at Riggle's apartment on the 400 block of East Locust Street, according to court documents.

Butler police were called to assist probation officers who reportedly found drugs and paraphernalia at the home.
