Richard and Gerre Slaughenhoupt

Richard and Gerre Slaughenhoupt of Parker will celebrate 65 years of marriage this week.

Slaughenhoupt married the former Gerre Wagner, Oct. 11, 1952, at Parker Methodist Church in Parker.

They have three children, Linda (the late Don) Mahood of Parker, Edith (Larry) Adams of Foxburg and Alan (Darlene) Slaughenhoupt of Hopewell, Va.

They also have three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Slaughenhoupt retired from Central Electric Cooperative.

He is affiliated with Masonic organizations, the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and the American Legion.

Mrs. Slaughenhoupt retired from the U.S. Postal Service.

She is a church organist.

The Slaughenhoupts are members of Parker Methodist Church.
