Serving up a shutout
Butler's No. 1 singles player, Savana Turner, won her match 6-0, 6-0 Wednesday as the Golden Tornado girls tennis team shut out Burrell, 5-0.
Butler (7-2, 4-2) dropped only three games in the three singles matches. The Tornado host Hampton Monday.

Girls Soccer
Lindsie Galbreath scored on an assist from Sarah Basa in the second half to give Knoch a 1-0 win over Gateway.
Becca Stockert stopped seven shots in goal for the shutout for the Knights (4-1).
Seneca Valley 3, North Hills 0 — Norah Seibel, Kailah Hinkle and Paige Brady each scored for the Raiders.
Mars 9, Indiana 0 — Maggie Williams scored three goals and Taylor Hamlett added two as the Planets rolled.
Ellie Coffield, Ellie Howell, Caroline Wroblewski, Kiara Khemani also found the net for Mars.
Freeport 10, Armstrong 0 — Kaylee Comperatore scored four goals to lead the Yellowjackets in this rout.
Comperatore has now scored 17 goals this season.
Carlie Giori added three goals and Sidney Shemanski, Lexi Dell and Natalie Doerr also scored for Freeport (5-1, 3-0).
Pine-Richland 4, Butler 1 — The Golden Tornado fell to the Rams.
Boys Soccer
Jake Weckerly stopped 26 shots for Karns City in a 3-0 loss to Grove City.
Freeport 2, Valley 1 —Hunter Hardin scored the tying goal with 20 minutes remaining and Alec Parker buried the game-winner five minutes later to keep the Yellowjackets undefeated in this game late Tuesday.
Freeport is now 5-0 overall and 3-0 in the section.
Boys Golf
Drew Kulka shot a 37 to lead the Golden Tornado to a 201-209 win over North Hills.

Victoria Witouski fired a 39 for Mars in a 170-210 win over Armstrong Wednesday.
On Tuesday, Natalie Welsh shot a 39 to help the Planets (6-2, 6-0) edge Seneca Valley 179-183.
Kennedy Johnston carded a 38 to lead the Raiders.
