Voltz 65th anniversary
Hubert C. and Janet E. Voltz of Butler celebrated 65 years of marriage at a surprise dinner with all 39 members of the family at a vacation home in Deep Creek, Md., and a memory-filled week afterward.
Voltz married the former Janet Timmons on July 17, 1952, at Middlesex Presbyterian Church in Butler.
They have five children, David (Elizabeth) Voltz of Pittsburgh, Richard (Terri) Voltz of Raleigh, N.C., Terry (Loretta) Voltz of Smithfield, Va., Kristy (Dale) Love of Evans City and Robert (Jeanne) Voltz of Butler.
They also have 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Voltz is professor emeritus of mathematics at Slippery Rock University. He was an educator for 37 years with 28 years at SRU.
Mrs. Voltz is a homemaker.
The Voltzes are members of Glade Run Presbyterian Church. Voltz is a liturgist and a member of the choir. Mrs. Voltz has served as a deacon.
They also volunteer for South Butler Meals on Wheels.
