Aaron Elliott

U.S. Army Col. Aaron R. Elliott, formerly of Butler, was promoted to his current position this year.

Elliott serves as the chief nurse anesthetist at Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg, N.C. He is the son of Robert T. Elliott, retired staff sergeant, and Linda Elliott of Prospect.

He is married to Tamara Lynn Elliott who serves as an operating room nurse at Womack. They have two children, Conner and Cheyenne.

After graduating from Butler High School in 1990 and then from Duquesne University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing, Elliot was commissioned in 1995.

In 2004, Elliott graduated from the U.S. Army Graduate Program in anesthesia nursing at Fort Bragg and was assigned to Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas, but he was quickly deployed with the 86th Combat Support Hospital in Baghdad, Iraq, spanning six months in 2005, then with the 31st Combat Support Hospital at Camp Bucca from 2007 to 2008.

Elliott is the recipient of the Bronze Star, the Meritorious Service Medal with one oak-leaf cluster, the Army Commendation Medal with four oak-leaf clusters and the Army Achievement Award with two oak-leaf clusters.
