Man injured in fall from ladder

BRUIN — A borough man was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital after falling off a ladder at his Main Street residence Friday afternoon.

Chief Jeff Pyle of the Bruin Volunteer Fire Department said the man, whose name was unavailable, was working on his house when the fiberglass ladder broke.

Pyle said the man sustained leg and facial injuries from the 12-to-15-foot fall, but was conscious when taken by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital, and then transferred by ambulance to an unspecified hospital.

The accident was reported in a 1:32 p.m. 911 call, in which the man was described as being in his 60s.

The 911 report lists 386 Main St., but it was not clear if that was the man’s address or the address for the neighbor who made the call. There is no phone listing for that address.
