The Cranberry Township Noon Rotary Club celebrated the centennial of the Rotary Foundation at a luncheon April 4 at the Rose E. Schneider Family YMCA.

The Cranberry group also recognized member Helena Trent, who committed $1,000 to Rotary International, with a Paul Harris Fellowship. The Cranberry Township Noon Rotary Club is now a 100 percent Paul Harris Fellowship club.

“It was a terrific time and a great opportunity for us to demonstrate our commitment to the Rotary Foundation, and to celebrate our success as a community service organization,” said Linda Andreassi, past president and member.

The Rotary Foundation is the charitable arm of Rotary International that is dedicated to projects that promote peace, fight disease, provide clean water, support education, save mothers and children, and grow local economies.

The Cranberry Rotary has donated nearly $100,000 to the Rotary Foundation in its 46-year club history. Most donations were made by individual members.
