Mars duo pitches no-hitter
It was quite the start to the season for the Mars baseball team.
Dylan Rotz and Brandon Weatherholt combined for a no-hitter as the Planets rolled to a 14-0 win over Country Day School (NY) in Myrtle Beach Friday.
Rotz worked four innings, striking out seven and not walking a batter. Weatherhold closed out the game, pitching the final three innings, striking out two and walking two.
Weatherholt also had a three-run home run.
Evan Homison, Matt Fuller and Anthony Michalski each laced triples for Mars, which will play single games Saturday and Sunday to close out their trip.

Boys Volleyball
Tyler Rankin tallied 33 assists and four aces as Butler posted a 3-1 win at Latrobe.
Nash Bryan added 17 kills and Dan Kline 11 passes for the Golden Tornado, who opened the season with a 25-15, 25-22, 22-25, 25-15 victory.
Boys Tennis
Matt McMaster and Elijah Errington won at No. 1 and 3 singles, respectively, as Butler rolled past Kiski Area 4-1.
