Five Butler Junior High wrestlers placed at the District VII Championships recently.

Steven Green placed fourth while Caleb Hartung was fifth, Cooper Baxter sixth, Hunter Neff seventh and Nate McMaster eighth.

Green also qualified for states by placing third in the 132-pound division at the Pennsylvania Junior Wrestling Area 7 qualifier on Sunday. The PJW Junior High State Finals are next weekend in Johnstown.

In elementary wrestling, Santino Sloboda took second place in the 10-under/60-pound division at the Burrell Super Trophy Open tournament on Sunday.

Taking second place at Sunday’s Burrell Novice Tournament were Braylon May, Kelley Schaukowitsch, Owen Dressler and Sutton Stoner.

Ryan Collins and Noah Chupka finished third.
