The driver and a passenger from a Buick SUV were checked for minor injuries after an accident involving three vehicles at the intersection of West New Castle and Mercer streets in Butler. The SUV ended up lodged between a utility pole and Tani’s Pizza. Tani Balanca, owner of the restaurant, said he reviewed footage from a camera on his building, which showed that a vehicle turning from Mercer Street crashed into the SUV, which was headed west on West New Castle Street. A third vehicle had minor damage. A tow truck was called in to remove the SUV. Butler police are investigating the incident. The scene was cleared after less than an hour.Dave Prelosky/Butler Eagle
