Cameron Ashton, a Knoch High School student, was killed Wednesday in an automobile accident on Route 8 South.

The passenger in a Jeep who died after the vehicle crashed into a building along Route 8 Wednesday afternoon in Penn Township has been identified as Cameron Ashton, 16, a junior at Knoch High School. He and the driver of the vehicle, also 16 and a student at Knoch, were returning from classes at Butler County Vocational-Technical School when the crash occurred.

Ashton was ejected from the vehicle.

The driver was able to get out of the vehicle and walk to the nearby building.
