Pesticide update series set to start

It’s time for individuals with pesticide applicator licenses to update their educational credits.

Penn State Extension in Butler County will host five sessions for update credits. Dates, times, topics, and available credits are as follows:

Feb. 7 7 to 9 p.m.

4 2 Category — “What’s New in Agronomic Weed Control for 2017” (PC, 01 Agro or 18 R & D)

4 2 Core 1 — “Pesticide Safety, Environment, Labels, Calibration and PPE”

Feb. 9, 1 to 3 p.m.

4 2 Category — “2016 Insect and Disease Pests Review” (PC, 01 Agro or 18 R & D)

4 2 Core — “Pesticide Safety, Environment, Labels, Calibration and PPE”

Feb. 9 7 to 9 p.m.

4 2 Category — “Herbicide Resistant Weeds Management” (PC, 01 Agro or 18 R & D)

4 2 Core — “Pesticide Safety, Environment, Labels, Calibration and PPE”

Feb. 15 1 to 3 p.m.

4 2 Category — “What’s New in Agronomic Weed Control for 2017?” (PC, 01 Agro or 18 R & D)

4 2 Core — “Pesticide Safety, Environment, Labels, Calibration and PPE”

Feb. 16 1 to 3 p.m.

4 2 Category — “2016 Insect and Disease Pests Review” (PC, 01 Agro or 18 R & D)

4 2 Core — “Pesticide Safety, Environment, Labels, Calibration and PPE”

Seating is limited and registration is requested. Space permitting, registrations will be accepted at the door.

The registration fee is $10 per person, per session. To reserve a seat, call 724-774-3003, Option 2, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
