Joseph F. Kiley

Joseph F. Kiley, 84, of Butler passed away Sunday at VNA Inpatient Hospice.

He was born Jan. 26, 1932, in Herman, the son of the late Lawrence Kiley and Marie Schnur Kiley.

Joseph was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served two tours in Korea and one in Vietnam. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 249 and was an avid bowler and golfer. Joseph retired from Union Local 12 of Pittsburgh where he was a sheet metal worker.

Surviving are his daughter, Beverly (John) Kiley-Fischer of Butler; his sister, Darlene Bailey of Butler; and his brother, Cletus Kiley of Butler.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Jean McKean Kiley, who died May 8, 2006; eight sisters; and two brothers.

KILEY — Friends of Joseph F. Kiley, who died Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. until time of a blessing service at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler. Military honors will follow, conducted by VFW Post 249 and Lyndora American Legion Post 778. Private interment will take place at the Butler County Memorial Park.
