Sheldine O'Hara Mahoney

Sheldine O'Hara Mahoney, 54, of Red Lion, Pa., formerly of Prospect, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday.

Born June 10, 1962, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Clarence M. O'Hara and Beverly G. McQuistion O'Hara of Prospect.

Sheldine was a former member of the Presbyterian Church of Prospect.

She was a 1981 graduate of Slippery Rock Area High School.

She worked as an adjuster for various insurance companies.

Sheldine was proud to be a breast cancer survivor and always provided support, care and comfort for others who experienced the illness.

She is survived by her husband, Kevin Mahoney, who she married in 2005, her mother, her sister-in-law, two uncles, three nephews, two nieces, two great-nephews, and numerous cousins.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, one sister, one brother, one nephew, and her dog, Sassy.

MAHONEY — Family and friends of Sheldine O'Hara Mahoney, who died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2016, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main St., Prospect.The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Presbyterian Church of Prospect, 115 Church St., Prospect, with the Rev. Steve Cort, church pastor, officiating.Interment will be at the Crown Hill Cemetery, Prospect.Memorial contributions may be made to The Presb.
