City council slated to act on agenda list
Butler City Council will take up a number of issues for votes at its meeting Thursday evening.
These include:
A motion to appoint Corey Roche to the City of Butler Parks, Recreation Grounds & Facilities Authority to fill the remainder of John Grenci’s term, which expires on Jan. 1, 2018
A motion to approve a block party on Eau Claire Street from Second Street to Reo Street from 1 to 8 p.m. Aug. 13
A motion to approve a block party on East Pearl Street from First Street to Second Street from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday
A motion to approve payment of $120,988 to Wiest Asphalt Products & Paving for the 2016 street paving project after final review by the city engineer
A motion to approve payment of $50,251 to Martino for the Monroe Street storm sewer repair project after final review by the city engineer
A motion to approve payment of $18,328 to Troy Jay Construction for the West Penn Street Bridge repairs after final review by the city municipal engineer
A motion to approve the agreement with Butler Rotary PM for use of the Institute Hill playground for a neighborhood night to be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Aug. 26
A motion to approve payment of $4,261 to Gateway Engineers for the engineering of the Centre City parking garage
A motion to approve payment of $436,519.78 to Thomas Construction for the construction of the Centre City parking garage. The project is currently around $55,000 under budget and the garage is set to be operational by the end of October.
