Harrisville plans parade cycle show, fireworks

HARRISVILLE — The borough will kick off the summer with a Community Day celebration on July 4.

The festivities will begin at 11 a.m., with a parade on Main Street. The rest of the day’s events will be at Harrisville Community Park, and will feature a vintage motorcycle show from noon to 5 p.m.

The event also will include artisans, rides and games for children of all ages, a daylong bicycle give-away, helicopter rides, pet parade, tractor parade, and food and craft vendors.

The event will culminate with a fireworks display that will begin at dusk.

The borough also will host a barbecue chicken dinner by the Harrisville Volunteer Fire Co. from noon to 6 p.m. July 2. The event also will include a gun raffle drawing on that day.
