Jeep fans collect decals to pins

The Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival plans to offer a commemorative pin each year, starting in 2016, for Jeep enthusiasts to collect.

Jeep owners who come to Butler County for the Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival will have the chance to show their love for the festival as they travel home.

That’s because the festival’s merchandise committee is offering several new items that can be used to accessorize not only the Jeep’s owner, but also the Jeep itself.

New items include flags, decals and magnets that can be put on a Jeep or on lanyards, commemorative pins and various types of apparel that Jeep owners can wear.

“We spend a lot of time researching popular items that we can offer to our attendees, and we have a great selection this year,” said Cathy Gilliland, merchandise manager. “We’re especially excited about the commemorative pin because we plan to introduce a new pin each year that Jeep enthusiasts can collect.”

A sampling of other new items include a fleece sweatshirt, “bucket” hat, stuffed animals, umbrellas, temporary tattoos, T-shirts, tank tops, and posters.

The festival merchandise store will be open Friday evening at Diamond Park in Butler during the Jeep Invasion.

It also will be open at Cooper’s Lake Campground on Friday morning and all day Saturday and Sunday.
