Search called off for missing girl
ALLEGHENY TWP — State police have called off the search for a teenage girl who has been missing from her home since Monday evening.
Volunteer firefighters from eight fire companies joined state police this morning to look for 15-year-old Lexis Walker of 123 Locust Lane.
Police said they had thoroughly searched an area of between 2 and 4 miles of the house and found nothing relevant to the disappearance. They called off the search at 2 p.m.
She left the house with a packed bag after she lost one of her father’s tools while using it to locate a horseshoe that she accidentally tossed into the woods.
