Jennings hosts May programsSLIPPERY ROCK — Jennings Environmental Education Center, 2951 Prospect Road, will have the following programs in May:“Spring Wildflowers” will celebrate the arrival of spring at 2 p.m. Sunday with a 90-minute wildflower walk at the center. Jennings staff will introduce the unique history, uses and folklore of the season’s first blooms.“Homeschool CSI: PA Mammal Atlas,” from 9 a.m. to noon May 25, will be the next in a series of citizen science investigations (CSI) for home-schooling families. Designed for students ages 5 to 10, the program will demonstrate how families can contribute to scientific research by observing and photographing mammal activity.Registration and payment are required no later than May 20. St. Anthony plans rummage saleSt. Anthony Orthodox Church, 400 S. Sixth Ave., will have a rummage and cookie sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 21.There will be household items, clothes, toys and seasonal decorations for sale, as well as cookies, other baked goods and hot dogs.

Families Forever seminar slatedA Families Forever seminar, offered by Lifesteps, will be from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. May 21 at Lifesteps, 300 Stirling Village.Families Forever teaches parents how to minimize the negative effects on children involved in divorce and custody.To register and provide payment, call Lifesteps at 724-283-1010.
