Eagle Scouts honored at dinner
PROSPECT — The Moraine Trails Council, Boy Scouts of America, greeted the 2015 Eagle Scout class March 31 at its annual recognition dinner at the White Barn.
Twenty two of the 72 scouts who earned the rank of Eagle Scout this year attended the dinner, which was sponsored by MSA of Cranberry Township.
Butler County Commissioner Kim Geyer spoke to the scouts. She talked about the hard work, dedication and perseverance that is needed in the work force.
“I talked to them about drawing strength from their core values,” Geyer said. “I’ve always been so impressed with the skills that are taught and that these scouts develop.”
Geyer said she also told them about leadership and the ways a person can be a leader in their community.
She said she was honored to have the opportunity to speak to them. “It was a great evening event to be able to talk to our future leaders.”
