Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

The Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center has been a viable source for nursing and long-term care in the Butler community for many years.

With the construction of the 20-bed Rehabilitation Wing nine years ago, we provide the utmost care in short-term rehabilitation, including physical, occupational and speech therapies, specializing in joint replacement, stroke and cardiac care.

With our wide range of services, and the fact that we’re only a short ride from our partner, Butler Memorial Hospital, we make choosing your short-term and long-term needs easy.

Sunnyview is proud of the award-winning care we provide to our residents. The Sunnyview team is committed to constant training, enabling our staff to keep up with the latest trends in regards to Alzheimer’s disease, wounds and other medical needs.

As an advocate for those who have dementia and, specifically, Alzheimer’s, we have a 36-bed secure dementia unit, Sunflower as it is called, which provides a safe, secure home for those who cannot live alone or who have become a caregiver challenge.

We are a member of the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org) fundraising, and we’re participating in the Butler County Walk to End Alzheimer’s from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 8.

In February, Sunnyview hosted a wound care certification class for local and out-of-state participants. Our Wound Care Director, Jan Steinhiser, RN, WCC, participated in this certification class in Philadelphia in October of 2015 and received her Wound Care Certification.

Sunnyview is your local nursing and rehabilitation center, and we are committed to meeting the long- and short-term needs of residents of Butler and the surrounding areas.
