Butler BlueSox

Once again this year, the Butler BlueSox will be supporting a local community based nonprofit organization with the BlueSox “Buck-a-Hit” fundraising campaign.

This year’s beneficiary will be the Ellen O’Brien Gaiser Addiction Center.

Simply put, for every BlueSox hit, a single, double, triple or home run, during the 60 game season, the BlueSox will donate $1 to this integral component in our community.

This year, the BlueSox will be joined by NexTier Bank, FCiFederal and Henninger and Robinson, P.C., who will each match the BlueSox $1 per hit donation.

The more participants in this worthy endeavor will result in a larger donation to the Ellen O’Brien Gaiser Addiction Center.

Any business or individual interested in joining with the BlueSox and its current partners in the 2016 Buck-a-Hit Campaign by pledging $1 for every BlueSox hit, home and away, may contact Wink Robinson at 724-282-2222 or by e-mail to frontoffice@bluesox.net.

On average over the past seven seasons, the BlueSox generated 450 to 550 hits. That’s $450 to $550, on average, per participant, stepping to the plate for the benefit of a nonprofit organization.

Past beneficiaries of the BlueSox Buck-a-Hit Campaign include the Butler Health System Foundation Caring Angels, the Butler YMCA Strong Kids Program and the Community Health Clinic of Butler.

As part of your participation, you or your business will be recognized during every BlueSox home game by receiving free PA announcements every time the BlueSox get a hit. Individual participants may request anonymity.

At season’s end on Saturday, Aug. 6, an on-field check presentation will take place at Kelly Automotive Park featuring all participants in the Buck-a-Hit Campaign and representatives from the Ellen O’Brien Gaiser Addiction Center.

Consider donating $1 for every BlueSox hit during the 2016 season, which begins May 26 at 6:35 p.m.

Tickets for all BlueSox home games are available by calling the front office at 724-256-9994, e-mailing to tickets@butlerbluesox.net or visiting the BlueSox website at www.butlerbluesox.net.
