Cold, windy weather expected this weekend

The snow will be leaving, but colder temperatures will take its place this weekend.

A cold front will drop temperatures in Butler County through Sunday, according to the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh. The high on Friday will be in the low 20s, but then will go down to 3 degrees Friday night.

On Saturday, the mercury is not expected to go much higher than 9 or 10 degrees. The low on Saturday night could be -3 degrees with a wind chill of about -10 degrees.

On Sunday morning, the wind chill could be as low as -13 or -14 degrees. The high that day is expected to be in the mid teens.

Monday will bring some relief with an expected high of 32 degrees.

Along with the cold, a little snow is expected: maybe a half inch Friday evening and another inch into Saturday morning. Due to the extreme cold, the snow is expected to be dry.
