Knoch girls edge St. Joseph in OT
Knoch senior guard Allyson Riley bucketed 20 points as the Knights' girls basketball team defeated visiting St. Joseph 51-50 in overtime Monday night.
Knoch (2-15), which received 12 points from Casey Kretzer, led 30-17 at halftime.

Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic freshman Matthew Ferraro of Adams Township placed third at 126 pounds in the Mercer VFW Tournament over the weekend.
Ferraro was 4-1 in the tourney, improving to 12-4 on the year. He had a pin during the competition and lost only a 6-4 decision to the eventual tournament champion.
