Clay TWP — The aroma of roasting turkey will draw thankful diners to the table on Thursday.

Eager with appetites ready, they will fill their plates with slices from the big bird and generous servings of their favorite sides.

It is a tradition. It is the Thanksgiving dinner.

But to get that dinner, the turkey must be cooked just right.

To learn how to cook a turkey, students in Cindy Long’s third grade classroom at Dassa McKinney Elementary School in the Moniteau School District wrote down streamlined instructions for preparing an unforgettable holiday turkey.

Here is what they said.

So you want to know how to cook a turkey? First, you buy the terkey and bring it home. Then, you have to wash your hands and clean up the turkey. Next, you have to put the turkey in the oven. Last, you have to put in the oven until its gold brown. Follow my instructions and your turkey will be great.

Micah Boda—–—First, I run through the woods and catch a big fat turkey. Next, you take the feathers off and wash it clean. Then, you put it in a pot with water. Put it in the over night. Finally, serve it at dinner with Grandmas homemade gravy. How Do you cook a really good turkey?

Johnathon Crawford—–—Have you ever made a turkey before? You may find a turkey at a store, along the road, or in the woods. A turkey could cost you $50,887.87¢ to buy one! Some people prepare their turkey in plates or in bowls to serve it. I cook my turkey with a sprinkle of seasalt, spices, seasonings, and two cups of water. (Just so you know if I were you I’d cook my turkey from 10:30 to 6:00.)

Hope E. Simpson—–—Have you ever made the most awesome turkey ever? First, you go to the store and find the best turkey ever. A turkey might cost $30. You take the turkey home and take the wrapper off. Set the oven to 500 and put the turkey in a pan. Put sauce and seaning on the turkey. Finally, you put the turkey in the oven for 3 hours. That is how I make the most awesome turkey ever.

Emma McAnallen—–—How do you make a turkey? First, look for a plump turkey at the store. Next, look at the price. It could be $10 or $17. I would buy the best price! Then, I take the wrapper off the turkey. I set it in the oven for 350 degrease. I also put the seasening on it. Finally, I put it in the oven for two hours. Can you make a turkey like this one?

Kaitlyn Thompson—–—These are the steps to cook a turkey. You usually get a turkey at the store. Well, the turkey usually cost $10 to $20. You prepare the turkey by putting seasonings on it and getting everything you need to get out of the turkey. You cook the turkey by putting the temperature to the right °F. That my friends is how you cook a turkey.

Sydney Bayless —–—Have you made ever made a turkey? I get mine in the great outdoors. It costs nothing, except some shells if you do it my way. We pluck the feathers off. You have to put it in the oven and set the heat at 100 degrees and cook it for 30 minutes. If you want a good turky dinner come over to my house. I’ll set you a place at the table.

Nick Kohlmeyer—–—Do you know how to cook a Thanksgiving feast? First, you will need to go to Walmart to buy the turkey. You will also have to pay $9 and 99. Oh the precious money you will need to spend. Then I will set the table and call my family members over. I will put the turkey in the oven while all the family members pack in. That is how you prepare a turkey for a Thanksgiving feast.

Caden Deeb———Have you ever made a turkey? First, I go to Slaters to get the turkey. At slaters the turkey cost about $20. Next, put spices on the turkey. Then, put the turkey on a platter. After that, you need to set the oven to about 160 degrees. Then, put the turkey in the oven for about the whole day. Now do you know how to make a turkey?

Madyson Bell———To cook a turkey you need spices, an oven, seasoning, and a turkey. You can get a turkey by hunting or at Walmart, Giant Eagle, or Aldi’s. A turkey cost $15.25 but if you go hunting it won’t cost anything. Bring the turkey home, take off it wrapper. Put it on a pan. Add melted butter and hot sauce. Put it in the oven for ten minutes at 400 degrees. After you eat all the turkey you need to put away all the spoons, plates, forks, and bowls. That is the end of Thanksgiving.

Isaiah Thompson———Do you know how to cook a turkey for Thanksgiving dinner? First, go to your local grocery store and buy a turkey. Next, you have to clean the turkey by taking out the gibblets. After you clean the turkey you have to prepare it. Then, you season it with butter, salt, pepper, and a few of your secret seasonings. finally, you cook it in a roaster or an oven for 3-3 1/2 hours. That’s how you cook a turkey for Thanksgiving dinner.

Gavin Scollard———How do you make a cooked turkey? You need to go to Walmart and buy the turkey. It is going to cost five or ten dollars. You have to cook it in the oven. You have to cook it first, for a half an hour. Follow these steps and you will cook the turkey just fine.
