[naviga:h3]Craft show to aid northern library[/naviga:h3]

NORTH WASHINGTON — There will be a handcrafted Christmas craft show to benefit North Trails Public Library from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 5 at the North Washington Social Hall at the Rodeo Grounds, 2231 Oneida Valley Road.

The sale will include caramel popcorn, crocheted articles, baby items, quilted products, Infinity and other scarves, goat milk soaps, jewelry, florals, watch bracelets, paper crafts, wood-turned holiday decorations, wreaths, hand-painted ornaments, magnetsand primitives. Food and beverages will be available.

[naviga:h3]Autism research news reported[/naviga:h3]

ZELIENOPLE — Shaun Eack will provide an update on current and upcoming autism research at the Center for Excellence in Autism Research at the University of Pittsburgh from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 9 at the Parents in Toto Autism Resource Center, 143 S. Main St.

Eack also will share information about studies seeking participants.

[naviga:h3]Christmas cookie walk to aid library[/naviga:h3]

The South Butler Community Library, 240 W. Main St., Saxonburg, will have a Christmas Cookie Walk from 3 to 8 p.m. Dec. 9 at the Fieldstone barn at Armstrong Farms, 248 Westminster Road.

Participants will stroll through the barn filling a container with at least 30 kinds of donated holiday cookies. Tickets are available at the library.

Proceeds will benefit the library.

[naviga:h3]Punxsutawney Phil visits library[/naviga:h3]

CRANBERRY TWP — The Cranberry Public Library, 2525 Rochester Road, will welcome legendary rodent and weather forecaster, Punxsutawney Phil at 11 a.m. Dec. 12.
