Nicholas Northime

Nicholas K. Northime, 60, of Cowansville went to meet the Lord early Friday morning at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot following a long battle with M.S.

Nicholas was born in Butler and raised in Chicora.

He was the son of the late Frederick and Aileen Brownfield Northime.

He was a graduate of Karns City High School.

Mr. Northime was a journeyman electrician and worked in powerhouse maintenance for West Penn Power for more than 20 years.

Nicholas enjoyed hunting, the firing range, reading, wood working and most especially the company of his family.

He attended the Sherrett United Methodist Church and the Trinity Reformed Church in Bradys Bend.

Nick's family would like to express their thanks to those who prayed, cared and helped them throughout the many years of his illness.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia S. Wolfe Northime, who he married in Reesedale, Pa., on Feb. 14, 1975.

Also surviving is a son, Brandon M. Northime and his wife, Rebecca, and a daughter, Nicole D. Northime, all of Cowansville; five brothers, James Northime, Robert Northime and his wife, Rachel, William Northime, Dennis Northime and Brian Northime, all of Chicora; five sisters, Arlene Wonsey and her husband, Denny, of Erving, Mass., Cathy Krason and her husband, Bob, of Butler, Gail Thoma and her husband, Ron, of Chicora, Pam Rob and her husband, Steve, of Karns City and Donna Bricker of Karns City; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Caldwell; and two brothers, Thomas and Frederick John.

NORTHIME — Friends of Nicholas K. Northime, who died on Friday, May 1, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Road, Chicora.A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Pete Sapp, pastor Trinity Reformed Church, Brady's Brady, officiating.
