Plans in motion for city garage
Crews today began drilling for soil samples at the site of the city’s proposed parking garage along South McKean Street.
Mayor Tom Donaldson and Jim Chiprean, chairman of the city parking authority, were on hand to look at the work, which will help determine foundation plans for the structure.
Donaldson said he is hoping construction of the garage will begin by in late April or May.
