SAXONBURG — The annual Saxonburg Fireman’s Carnival, which for years has been the first major festival of the summer, will be later in the summer next year.

Council president Carol Neubert, who is the carnival chair, said that rainy weather in June and residents’ requests are reasons to push back the carnival dates.

Neubert said the 2015 carnival will be the third full week of July.

The carnival includes amusement rides, a pet parade and a parade for fire and emergency vehicles.
