G. Verlee Lucas
G. Verlee “Lee” (Morrow) Lucas, 66, of Butler passed away at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday at the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.
Verlee was born May 15, 1948, in West Sunbury. She was the daughter of the late A. Boyd Morrow and the late Ruth Stewart Morrow.
Verlee attended a one room school during first through fifth grade and graduated from Moniteau High School as a member of the Class of “66.” She was a member of the Mount Chestnut Presbyterian Church and the Mount Chestnut Senior Center.
Verlee is survived by two sons, Steven Lucas and his wife, Vaughn, of Connoquenessing and Brian Lucas and his wife, Michelle, of Butler; and three grandchildren, Steven Lucas II, Alyssa Lucas and Emily Henry.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward D. Lucas, who died March 22, 2006; one sister; and one brother.
LUCAS — Family and friends of G. Verlee “Lee” (Morrow) Lucas, who died Wednesday, June 11, 2014, will be received at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.Funeral services will be at noon Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jeff Curtis, her pastor, officiating.
