CABOT — Authorities say a woman is dead after a vehicle crashed into the Scissor Heaven Hairstyling and Tanning salon.

The crash happened about 11:30 a.m. Friday.

The woman was waiting at the salon when a SUV crashed through a large window in the front of the building. She was pinned under the vehicle, according to a state trooper at the scene.

A man also was waiting there, and he has minor injuries.

The driver of the SUV is an older woman, according to the trooper. She was taking to a hospital to be checked.

There were several employees at the salon, who were not injured.

Police did not release the names of anyone involved.

State police continue to investigate the accident.
